Lambeth Council’s affordable workspace project, (located in Loughborough Junction and funded by the Mayor of London’s London Regeneration Fund), reached a new milestone on Thursday as we published an invitation for tenders from building contractors.
The works include the construction of two buildings to accommodate a mix of employment spaces for start-ups and other small and medium enterprises including studios, workshops, offices and the potential for a food business incubator. We encourage suitably qualified and experienced contractors, who are able to provide evidence of having delivered similar services successfully, to submit a tender in this two stage process.
The first stage will assess the contractors ability to carry out the works as well as evaluating answers to a series of questions relating to the quality of the services they provide, including their commitment to delivering social benefits to the local community.
We will shortlist 3-5 potential suppliers on the basis of these responses before issuing additional information and asking potential suppliers to tender under a single-stage JCT Design & Build contract (Stage 2 of the ITT).
If you are interested, or know any building contractors who might want to take advantage of this opportunity, please make sure you are registered with eu-supply.com. The stage 1 tender pack can be then be found here:

The initial deadline for stage 1 submissions is 12pm on Thursday 20th. However, we are currently considering extending this by a week to take account of the Easter break, so please check EU Supply for updates.
We look forward to hearing from you!
