Your New Town Hall
The Your New Town Hall project works hand in hand with the cooperative council vision to open up local decision making. Creating a new centre around the town hall will save at least £4.5 million a year, improve customer experiences and open up the town hall for community use and enterprise. More than that, it’s the regeneration of a 2.5 acre site in the centre of Brixton.
On 1 September 2015 councillors on the planning committee approved the application that was submitted by Muse Developments on 17 April 2015. You can read more details on the blog or Muse’s Your New Town Hall site.
The Town Hall closed on 4 September 2016 and most services moved to Olive Morris House. The Lambeth Register Office has moved to the Redfearn Centre, 329 Kennington Lane, Vauxhall, London, SE11 5QY until early 2018. Read more details here.
