This will be the focus for office based employment in the town centre – for the council, its partners, social enterprises and small businesses.
- Refurbish and redevelop buildings to bring council offices into one location – leading to council savings and the opening up of the civic space
- Provide new flexible and affordable workspace for council partners and other enterprises.
- Encourage a mix of office, retail, community and leisure use at ground level to help make the streets livelier.
- Improve the environment of Porden Road for existing residents.
- Improve the public realm to create better links to St Matthews’ PeaceGardens and Windrush Square beyond.
