New car park opens on Pope’s Road

A new short-term car park has opened on Pope’s Road. The full address is 49 Brixton Station Road, London SW9 8PQ and it’s on the site of the former ice rink.
Opening hours and terms of use
The car park will be open between 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday
It is for use by customers using our PayByPhone service, disabled badge holders and Brixton Market Traders federation permit holders only.

Meanwhile activity on the site
This is a temporary use of the site for three years whilst permanent plans for this site in particular are developed in line with the Brixton Central Masterplan. How the car park is used over this time will help to determine what is needed in the future.
The site will also be home to Pop Brixton, a new community campus for start-ups and small businesses. It will provide a new public space in the heart of Brixton creating studio and workshop spaces where people can work, play, learn and create.
