A Brixton worker: If you look at this building, we've got 17 companies from an art charity through to education for unemployed people, computer training and increasingly into web designers and communication agencies like in fact the one you can see here. So, there's a real mix of employment opportunities from what I see

A Brixton worker: This facility brings people from all over London here to come and use it because there is nothing else like it in Bri... London.

A Brixton resident: There's not a lot of opportunities basically. Round here it's hard to get any work,... education... anything like that. But they need to make more resources for people, and help people more.

A local youth worker: What I would like to see happening is a young entrepreneur sort of project that can help young people set up little businesses and actually make a little bit of money themselves so they can see the potential that you do have to set up bigger businesses in the future to become major entrepreneurs that you see on TV.

A Brixton worker: I'm a freelance graphic designer. There's a real big creative community and they tend to use a lot of the cafés and bars, particularly the ones with Internet access. Working freelance by yourself a lot of the time, you need interaction with other people. I think Brixton needs a creative hub, a centralised resource, recognised resource for other creatives to meet on the basis of exchanging ideas.
